  1. Saving Sally

Saving Sally is about Marty, an inspiring comic artist, who is in love with his best friend Sally, an inventor. In the film, Marty sets out on an adventure to save Sally from her evil parents and her douche boyfriend. It’s a very typical love story incorporated with 100% Filipino-made animation. If you’re a millennial, this movie is perfect for you and to the oldies out there, watching this film will bring out the young-at-heart side of you.

Fun fact: This movie took 12 years to make!

Perfect for those who are single or in a complicated relationship.

  1. Dirty Dancing

There’s just something about this typical story of a rich girl falling in love with a poor boy that you just can’t resist. This movie has the perfect mix of drama, romance, and dancing that will just let you swoon and have the time of your life! And two words: Patrick. Swayze.

Most memorable quote: “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.”

Perfect for those who are in a relationship.

  1. Bridesmaids

This is about a woman whose life is in a mess who was asked by her best friend to be the maid of honor at her wedding. And despite all the challenges coming her way – personal or not, she must be able to give the bride and her bridesmaids a wedding they will never forget. This movie is a concoction of laughter, heartbreak, and adventure of how far you’ll go for someone you love. For everyone out there trying to find their way through life, this movie is for you!

Quote to remember: “I don’t associate with people that blame the world for their problems. Because you’re your problem, and you’re also your solution.”

Perfect for those who are single.

  1. 10 Things I Hate About You

This is a story of how a bad girl and bad boy fall in love with one another…well not really. In this 90’s cult classic based from Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, experience life as a teenager once again. There seriously are no words left because then I’d be giving out spoilers! Just watch the film and swoon over Heath Ledger with me.

Most memorable scene: Kat’s poetry recital.

Perfect for those who are single or in a relationship.

  1. Before Sunrise

Two strangers who met on a train ride to Vienna connected and decided to spend the day together only to part ways (forever) before sunrise. This film is so poignant, romantic, thought-provoking, and just overall perfect.

Best quote: “If there’s any kind of magic in this world it must be in the attempt of understanding someone sharing something. I know, it’s almost impossible to succeed but who cares really? The answer must be in the attempt.”

Perfect for those are single, heartbroken, or in a relationship.

  1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

After a painful breakup, Clementine went on a medical procedure to remove her ex-boyfriend Joel from her mind and her life.  When Joel discovers that Clementine went through such extremes, he decided to have the same procedure done on him as well. Along the way, he realized that he still loves her, and no matter how much the breakup hurt, the times they shared together meant a lot more. Well, who ever said that moving on was easy?

P.S. The trailer doesn’t do this film any justice.

Quote to ponder upon: “What a loss to spend that much time with someone, only to find out that she’s a stranger.”

Perfect for those who are bitter and heartbroken.

  1. Love, Rosie

Love, Rosie is a story about Alex and Rosie – two best friends who are secretly in love with each other. Only after failed relationships- marriages even- did they ever tell each other how they felt. I mean. This is seriously. So. Frustrating. But at the same time so heartwarming! Oh good, old unrequited love! Wait, did I mention that Lily Collins and Sam Claflin are the stars of this film?

Perfect for those who are single, heartbroken or in a complicated relationship.

Quote to ponder upon: “Sometimes you don’t see that the best thing that ever happened to you is right under your nose.”

  1. Barcelona: A Love Untold

The country’s teen king and queen have once again brought us a movie that is worth our money and tears. Barcelona is a journey to forgiveness, pursuing your dreams, and finding yourself in the process. This is Daniel and Kathryn’s best movie yet.

Best line: “Huwag mo akong mahalin dahil mahal kita. Mahalin mo ako kasi mahal ako. Because that is what I deserve.”

Perfect for those who are single, bitter, and heartbroken.

  1. How to be Single

Set in New York City, this film focuses on a group of young adults on a journey of mending heart aches, lonely hearts seeking love, one night hook-ups, and finding one’s self. Don’t let the trailer cloud your judgment because this film is so much more than parties and kissing. The greatest take away from the movie is being able to love yourself more. Watch the film and thank me after.

Best line: “The thing about being single is, you should cherish it. Because, in a week, or a lifetime, of being alone, you may only get one moment when you’re not tied up in a relationship with anyone. One moment, when you stand on your own.”

Perfect for those who are single, heartbroken, in a relationship or in a complicated relationship.

  1. When Harry Met Sally

This is a story about two friends who had met, lost touch, and reconnected with each other in the course of eleven years. This story answers whether or not men and women can be just friends. Curious of the answer? Well, just watch the film and find out! And oh, prepare some tissue because Harry’s speech at the end is just ah-ma-zing.

Most romantic line: “I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”

Perfect for those who are single, heartbroken, in a relationship, or in a complicated relationship.
